The power of a bucket list
The power of a bucket list
The power of a bucket list
During this year I also went to Paris for lunch, saw the Mona Lisa, travelled on a gondola in Venice, caught a 12 pound salmon and ice skated at Somerset House.
To finish this whole amazing year off, I went to Las Vegas, where I celebrated my 30th birthday by going on a helicopter trip over to the Grand Canyon and having a champagne picnic.
I believe that I would have got around to completing these fun activities and challenges at some point in my life, however, I just absolutely loved writing my list, having so many amazing things to look forward to and planning each of my adventures in quick succession. It made life so wonderful and exciting.
After this fantastic year, I decided to continue living my life in this way and my new motto in life became “we are here for a good time, not a long time”. Some of the adventures on my bucket list for this year include completing a spartan race, seeing the Taj Mahal, celebrating new year in New York, visiting the White House, the list goes on.
I am posting this blog after having spent the weekend in Giverny, France seeing Monet’s Gardens. I saw pictures of the gardens in a travel magazine about six months ago and thought that would be a lovely way to spend the weekend, so I added it to my bucket list.
My advice to you
During this amazing year, I documented all my activities, challenges and experiences and at the end of the year I decided to put this all together in a book, called “30 things to do before hitting 30 years old”.
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse
